Silver Bullet issue 2 COVER....
Here's the cover for issue 2 of The Silver Bullet. Pencils by me and then straight to colors by the amazing Jeremy Colwell. Jeremy did an amazing job with this and I love it!

FRANKENSTEIN!!! For the TEN TON CHALLENGE...
Not much to say here. Here's my pencils, inks and then threw on some markers for colors and tone. It's always interesting when I break out the markers, due to lack of experience with markers... I got some water colors that I haven't used in a while, well maybe I'll use them for the next challenge. Happy HAlloween BIATCHES!

Revised SILVER BULLET logo...
Here's the mock up of the pencils for the cover of issue 2 with a revised logo. I do have a friend working on a Silver Bullet logo for me so we shall see. He's a pretty slick graphic design artist so I'm crossing my fingers it'll look cooler than this, but for now this is it!
The Silver Bullet issue page 1, pencils...
Ok here's the pencils for page 1 of the Silver Bullet issue 2. Silver Bullet is kinda just standing like a dumb ass and wondering who the hell these dudes are! I tried to make Silver Bullet as lackidasical as possible in his pose as possible.

The TAIL of HALF CAT, HALF MAN!! page 3 inks.
Here's page 3 of The Tail of Half Cat Half Man in inks. I cranked out the ink brush for this page, instead of just using pens and sharpies. I think the rest of the inked pages for the Silver Bullet I'll ink with a brush and then go in with pens. IT makes things look more organic and cooler in my opinion. Can't wait to see this lettered. Should be very cool.
The Silver Bullet issue 2 cover, pencils...
So here's a mock up of issue 2 of the Silver Bullet pencils with the type and logo added, because I couldn't resist! And also I'm honored to have the sketch challenge over at Ten Ton Studios doing the Silver Bullet this week! How awesome is that? It's completely kick ass awesome, thanks Ballpoint! And this will be my entry for the sketch challenge so thats pretty cool knocking out two birds with one stone this week. If you wanna check out the Sketch challenge here's the link and if your not a member of Ten Ton well it's the coolest forum online. For the cover and for most of the stuff I've been doing lately I've been trying to use as much reference as possible. I find it helps a ton and adds to art, well at least my art a lot. I've been trying to turn into a poor man's Alex Ross only the pencil and inked poor man's version. Don't do gouache even though I've been wanting to try that technique with the ink washes then laying down gouache over it, maybe when I have more time.

The TAIL of HALF CAT, HALF MAN!! page 2 inks.
I did these inks last night after work. Admittedly I'm not the best inker and you can tell here and there but for the most part I think it turned out pretty good. I did lose some of my pencils here and there but I'm happy with how it turned out in general. Hopefully I'll finish inking page 3 tonight! I do have to say I like the last panel of Half Cat Half Man doing the Tiger Woods fist pump after he beats down all the giant frogs!

The TAIL of HALF CAT, HALF MAN!! page 3 pencils.
Wow, am I tired after drawing this page! Well this is the third page of the 3 page short for the Tail of Half Cat Half Man. I think it turned out pretty interesting and it was a lot of fun to draw. On this page he just finishes knocking the crap out of all the giant frogs to save the girl he's in love with and she's happy to be saved and all but when he asks her to go out she turns him down! Well now I just have to ink page 2 and 3. Should be interesting to ink.

The TAIL of HALF CAT, HALF MAN!! page 2 pencils.
Wow do I need and inker! But the good news is I finally got an amazing 11x17 kick ass scanner today. It can actually scan 11x17 which makes life way easier and even better it's wireless. I can sit on my couch with my laptop and bam, scan a hi-res 11x17 in seconds. Now if I can just find an amazing inker I'll be set. This is the second page to the 3 page back up story that will be in The Silver Bullet issue 2. I'm digging it. Fighting giant frogs, what the hell is better?

VAMPIRELLA finished inks...
Just finished the inks on this Vampirella pin up. I think it turned out pretty good, it's for the Ten Ton Sketch Challenge Jamboree. So yee haw! Now my hand hurts from drawing and inking all day. I used reference obviously on this one and drew it and inked right to the comic board, which is always exciting knowing you could crash and burn at any moment, luckily I think I pulled it off.
MID OHIO COMIC CON.
This weekend me and Eric Rampson (writer of the Silver Bullet) had a table at the con. This picture was taken by MMMMMPIG otherwise known as Scott from Ten Ton Studios. Got to meet him and a lot of other great people at the con. Also we premiered the first issue of the Silver Bullet and I was also selling Venger: Endgame, and Venger: Sins and Secrets at the con. Eric meanwhile was pushing The Redeemers and Once Upon A Time. Did a few commissions and met the creator of The Infernal Fyre-Dragon, William Grapes. Very funny guy. Then got to talk to the on and only Darryl Banks for a little bit and video taped him drawing one amazing Captain America.
VAMPIRELLA pencils...
Ok so I have like the worst scanner ever for scanning actual pencils! This picks up about 1/10th of whats actually seen. Anyways these are the pencils for Vampirella for a sketch off at Ten Ton Studios. I'm going to try to ink this also. I should actually be doing pages for the Silver Bullet right now but this was such a good choice for the sketch challenge. I've just started doing drawing right on the comic board instead of drawing it then lightboxing it. All of the sudden it occurred to me that after drawing for so many years that I can actually draw right on the comic board and with the help of an eraser finish it from start to finish and cut out all the middle work, and hey it actually turns out half descent. Imagine that! Thanks for looking.
